In this picture of the bride to take a break from her makeup session to capture a lovely silhouette highlighting her slender form and beautiful veil.

It's important to consider certain details of a dress that may not be so apparent in full frontal light, such as this veil. Veils are often overlooked and under-utilized by wedding photographers who do not understand the true meaning of available light (ie camera mounted flash is should not be considered 'available light').

Pictures of Brides can be more dramatic when shot in or converted to black and white photographs. Often friends and family of the bride will capture candid images that may be less than perfect technically, but capture a certain feeling that the wedding photographer may have been unable to capture for whatever reason. How to make the best of this color photo that is not properly exposed or has a strange color cast to it? You could simply convert it to black and white yourself or even be so bold to ask your photographer to do it for you. Chances are high that they'll take care of your request in a snap especially if your request is kind and respectful.

Simple and natural poses work really well for most brides. In fact, no posing directions often puts some brides at ease while others needs and/or want a constant, but gentle pointers as to how they might look their best. There are many subtle facets to creating good and memorable pictures of brides.

There is something a maid of honor can do for her best friend's wedding. Giving her a pep talk about being natural in front of the camera will really help her especially if you let her know that the love she is feeling for her spouse is starting to make her glow. Just that small seed of confidence being planted will really help smooth out some of the butterflies she may be experiencing due to an unfathomable number of factors.
